Holidays at the Headland

For Holidays at the Headland, an Explore Hartlepool commissioned project launched in 2025, we built a vibrant, highly adaptable visual brand identity designed for the community.

We balanced playful illustrations with strict accessibility and literacy standards, and wrapped the project by equipping their team with the tools and guidelines needed to confidently grow their brand long after launch.

Creativity meets accessibility

Our brief was to create a flexible, vibrant visual framework capable of engaging a diverse regional audience. The key challenge centred on inclusivity. The typography style and colour palette need to meet strict accessibility standards while supporting all levels of literacy. The finished result balances creativity with functionality.

From concept to community

As part of the initial brief we translated the brand identity into a large scale 3m x 1m banner to advertise their inaugural event.

Handing over the keys

To meet the brand needs, we developed a highly interactive brand identity that seamlessly blends a flexible logo with a playful, engaging illustrative style. The client can bring the brand to life across various touch-points using the supplied brand guidelines.

The document advises the team on best practices for asset use, empowering them to confidently manage and maximise the brand moving forward.
