Hamara

Hamara has grown to be the largest ethnic minority organisation in the voluntary and community sector in Leeds.

Hamara’s aim is to empower the community and cement their stake in their community’s future and they came to us looking for an engaging and informative website which captured the diverse nature of that community.

Lively energy

Hamara’s brand colours were black and white so we added a vibrant secondary palette to use as accents across the site.

We used those colours to highlight important information and bring a lively energy to the illustrations used throughout.

Connecting community

The centres three core pillars Projects, Services and Activities are brought together giving a cohesive user experience.

The page provides an immediate, accessible interface to reduce technical barriers. Straightforward weekly timetables and direct information reflect their core values of inclusivity, empowerment and community connection.

Customer managed

The website was designed to be built using WordPress so the client could manage and update things going forward.

As with all of our websites, we provided them with training on how to edit the basics, as well as a step-by-step training document to refer back to and 30 days of support.
